Bluegrass Barbell Club is a USAW recognized club, training the Snatch and Clean-and-Jerk. These are commonly known as “the Olympic lifts”. We also welcome those wishing to compete in the USAPL, which is the sport of powerlifting in which you train the Back Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift. If you have ever thought about ways to get faster, stronger, quicker, etc, weightlifting may be for you. Are you a parent and thinking about putting your kid in to an organized team sport? If so, your child can become a weightlifter! Doesn’t matter if you’ve never competed before or have competed your whole life and are looking for the next challenge. Olympic Weighting or Powerlifting can offer you the opportunity to stay competitive and motivated!
